Saturday's Game
• This is the season finale for both Davidson and Campbell, with kickoff set for 1 p.m.
• Davidson will honor its senior class prior to the game.
• Sophomore WR William Morris has 1,075 yards receiving this season to rank sixth in the nation with 107.5 per game and rank first in the PFL. He needs just 53 yards to reach the single-season record of 1,128 yards set by Mike Mikolayunas in 1970.
• With 1187 career yards receiving, he ranks 14th in Davidson history. He is on pace to gain the most yards receiving in Davidson history, as record-holder Lanny Funsten (2009-12) only had 715 career yards at the conclusion of his sophomore season, but finished with 2,770.
• Senior QB Jonathan Carkhuff ranks as Davidson's career leader in passing yards (10,630), attempts (1,697), completions (1,018) and completion percentage. His completion and attempts totals are also PFL records.
• Senior LB Matt Casey ranks fourth in the PFL with 97 tackles and will look to complete one of the prolific seasons by a Davidson defender. Only six Wildcats have made 102 or more tackles in a season since the stat was officially tracked in 1983.
• A Davidson win would end an 11-game losing streak dating back to last season. Davidson's last win at home was Nov. 19, 2011 vs. Valparaiso (10 games).
• The Davidson-Campbell game is one of two PFL games remaining.Â
• The Wildcats can finish as high as a tie for eighth place if they defeat Campbell and Mercer defeats Stetson. Davidson can finish no worse than 11th as San Diego vacated its conference record due to an institutional violation of the PFL's financial aid policies.
• William Rikard '67 is serving as the 'Cats' honaray captain.
• Davidson leads the all-time series, which began in 2008, 4-1.
• Campbell quarterback Braden Smith scored on a 5-yard touchdown run in triple overtime, and Steth Monroe intercepted a pass on Davidson's possession to hold the Wildcats and lift Campbell to a 26-20 win at Richardson Stadium in 2012.
• Jonathan Carkhuff completed 32-of-45 pass attempts for 348 yards and three touchdowns to lead Davidson to victory, 28-21, at Campbell.
• Davidson led 14-0 at halftime and took a commanding 28-0 lead after two third quarter touchdowns. Campbell did not score until the fourth quarter, but scored three touchdowns to threaten late.
• Reese Williams was Carkhuff's top target with seven receptions for a career-best 74 yards and a touchdown.
• Campbell quarterback Dakota Wolf was held to 80 yards in the air, completing 8-of-22 pass attempts with an interception, but ran for 154 yards on 22 carries and two touchdowns. Brandon Chandler added 71 yards on 12 carries and a touchdown.
• Campbell rallied with three fourth quarter scores. Campbell attempted another onside kick with 1:16 remaining, but Lanny Funsten recovered it to seal the victory.
• Campbell enters with a 2-9 record and one PFL victory over Stetson by one point.
• Campbell has the second ranked rushing offense in the PFL (14th in FCS), averaging 233.2 yards per game.
• The Camels rank fifth in the league with 440.1 yards per game in total offense, but are ninth in total defense allowing 463.1 yards per game.
PFL and NCAA FCS Leaders
• WR William Morris leads the league and is sixth in FCS with 107.5 receiving yards per game. He also ranks second in the league and 17th in the country with 6.5 receptions per game.
• LB Matt Casey ranks fourth in the PFL and 23rd in FCS with 9.7 tackles per game.
