• Davidson caps a two-game road stretch at defending PFL champion Jacksonville Saturday.
• The 'Cats are coming off a 28-0 loss at Dayton. The Davidson offense has not scored a touchdown in the last three games and is averaging 3.0 points in conference contests.
• The Wildcats are 6-14 in their last 20 road games, dating back to 2008. Davidson is 0-3 on the road this season and averaging 5.3 points a game.
• Davidson is 11-18 all-time in league games on the road, including 6-11 in its last 17.
• Davidson is 18-23 in its last 41 PFL?contests and owns a 24-32 all-time PFL record.
• Jacksonville sits atop the PFL with a 3-0 record and has won five straight games. The Dolphins are 3-0 at home this season.
• The 'Cats were picked ninth in the PFL preseason poll while Jacksonville was picked first with eight of 10 first-place votes.

• Davidson quarterback Jonathan Carkhuff completed 16 passes for 179 yards and a touchdown, and Chris Cochrane came off the bench to complete all four passes he threw for 55 yards and a score.
• Josh Yost led the receiving corps with 58 yards on three catches for the Wildcats, and Michael Blanchard had four receptions for 35 yards and a TD.
• Josh Philpart led the Dolphins with nine catches for 107 yards and two touchdowns, and Elliott Finkley had 121 yards and a touchdown on three receptions. J.J. Laster rushed 17 times for 136 yards.
• Jacksonville roared to a 21-0 lead as McGregor racked up 270 yards on 14-for-19 passing in the first half. McGregor hit Philpart with a 13-yard touchdown pass with 1:12 to play in the first quarter, and the pair connected again on a 5-yard pass for the Dolphins' second score with 9:11 remaining in the second quarter.
• Davidson receiver Mark Hanabury had a career day with nine receptions for 146 yards and a touchdown in the 2009 meeting in Jacksonville, a 27-21 loss for the 'Cats.
• Davidson trailed 27-7 with 4:19 left in the third quarter and wound up with the ball on the Jacksonville 36-yard line on 4th-and-6 trailing by six points with 1:42 to go.
• Matt Heavner dropped back to pass and hit Hanabury over the middle, but when he planted to cut up field, his foot slipped out from under him, and he landed just shy of the first down marker. Jacksonville killed the last 1:35 to hang onto the win.
• Kenny Mantuo finished the game with 66 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries.
• Heavner came off the bench to complete 7-of-10 passes for 66 yards and a score, and Michael Blanchard threw for 73 yards.
• Rudell Small had 18 carries for 110 yards and a TD, and Josh McGregor completed 18-of-28 passes for 261 yards and two touchdowns for the Dolphins.
Leftovers from Dayton
• Backup quarterback Chris Cochrane played a few series at wide receiver and caught his first career passes.
• The 'Cats fell to 0-5 all-time at Welcome Stadium and 1-9 against the Flyers overall.
• The 'Cats have been shut out in each of the last two games at Dayton.
Claw Marks
• Jonathan Carkhuff and Lanny Funsten set a school record with a 99-yard TD pass and catch vs. Johnson C. Smith Sept. 24.
• Funsten's 195 receiving yards vs. JCSU was the most for a Wildcat since Alvin Atkinson had 220 vs. Furman in 1979.
• Toms Bernhards-Callahan's 94-yard punt return for touchdown against Marist Oct. 8, equaled the school record, set by George Hannen against Wofford in 1969.
• During head coach Tripp Merritt's tenure, the Wildcats are 20-5 when winning the turnover battle.
• Merritt has moved into fifth place on Davidson's all-time win chart (28). He is seven away from fourth place, his former mentor, Tim Landis.
• Peter Kidwell picked off two passes against Lenoir-Rhyne Sept. 10, giving the senior seven for his career.
• Davidson is 4-2 on the opening coin toss; the 'Cats received the opening kickoff three times.
• Stetson and Mercer will join the PFL, beginning in the 2013 season.
