
Wildcat Women Open Home Season with Conference Win over N.C. A&T

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The Wildcat women's swimmers opened the 2008-09 home season with a 86-58 victory over CCSA foe N.C. A&T Aggies Friday night at Cannon Natatorium.
Freshman Lauren Kamperman put together a solid meet, winning a pair of individual events. Kamperman finished first in the 100 free with a time of 55.45 and in the 200 free with a time of 1:58.40.
Sophomore Jessica Delegehausen and classmate Lindsey Martin were among the Wildcat winners, out-touching the field in the 50 free (25.83) and 100 IM (1:01.74).
"It was a fun meet tonight," head coach John Young said. "The women got excited to race an all sprint format, one which they seldom see, and they enjoyed it."
The Wildcat men and women continue their weekend, hosting the College of Charleston Cougars tomorrow at 2 p.m.
