Thorsen Earns A-10 Rookie Honor

WASHINGTON — Davidson swimmer Ginny Thorsen has been named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the league announced Tuesday morning.
The honor is the second for Thorsen, a freshman from Athens, Ga. She was also recognized on Oct. 2.
At the Bucknell Invitational, Thorsen posted the A-10's top time in the 200 free (1:50.59), while placing third.
Also at the seven-team meet, Thorsen swam to fourth with the 400 free relay, to fifth with the 800 free relay, was ninth in the 1,650 free and reached the finals of the 100 and 500 frees.
