Jarred Brookins is in his second season as an assistant coach with the Davidson men's soccer program.
Prior to joining the Wildcats’ program, Brookins spent three years as an assistant coach/recruiting coordinator at Mercer, where he helped the Bears to a 30-20-3 overall record, which included an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2019.
In addition to coaching 20 all-conference performers, a Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year in Macon, Brookins was a part of a staff named the 2018 Southern Conference Coaching Staff of the Year.
“Jarred is an exceptional fit for us,” commented Babst. “He comes from one of the best mid-major programs in the Southeast where he contributed to two conference title-winning teams at Mercer. He is a relentless recruiter, and a coach who connects incredibly well with his players. He really understands what Davidson is about and believes what we can accomplish here.”
Prior to his most recent stint, Brookins spent five years with the Vestavia Hills Soccer Club in Alabama.
As the boys’ staff coach and college liaison, he helped the club to seven USYS Youth Soccer State Championships from 2014-18 as well as an appearance in the U18 Region III quarterfinals in 2017.
Brookins graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in 2013 where he was a team captain in 2012, while leading the Panthers to an undefeated record in the Southern Athletic Association.
