Prep Years: Played football for coach Bill Patterson at Northwest High School • Three-time first-team all-district selection • Team co-captain • Three-time first-team all-district and academic all-district selection • National Football Foundation - Gridiron Club Dallas Chapter Scholar Athlete • Texas School of Football – Hall of Fame inductee • Also a member and co-captain of the powerlifting team • Two-time school “Strongest Texan” award winner setting school records for squat (700 lbs.), bench (440 lbs.) and power clean (305 lbs.) • Placed third at state powerlifting meet • Member of National and Spanish National Honor Society.
