LAST TIME OUT
Despite another double-double from Charlise Dunn, Atlantic 10 Conference co-leader George Mason defeated Davidson 62-51 Wednesday night inside Belk Arena.
Dunn finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds for her ninth double-double of the season, while Katie Donovan scored a team-high 18.
Davidson finished with a 36-32 advantage on the glass.
SERIES HISTORY
Sunday's game will the second contest in the season series between the Hawks and Wildcats. Davidson slugged out a 48-36 win over the Hawks at home on Jan. 7, limiting Saint Joe's to 31.1 percent shooting from the floor. The 36 points by the Hawks was one of the lowest opposing scoring totals allowed by the 'Cats under Gayle Fulks, only matched by last season's 56-36 win over Dayton in the conference tournament.
In their Jan. 7 matchup, Charlise Dunn recorded a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds to lead the way for the Wildcats. Kyra Bruyndoncx also scored 10 points.
The win in Belk Arena was just the second victory ever for the Wildcats, who are now 2-12 against the Hawks. The 'Cats are 0-5 in Hagen Arena.
MILESTONE WATCH
Charlise Dunn has tallied 974 points and 497 rebounds in her career, needing just few more of each to enter the 1000 points, 500 rebound club at Davidson. When she achieves this feat, Dunn would be one of three Davidson women's basketball players in program history to have 1000 points, 500 rebounds, 100 steals and 120 three-point field goals, alongside Laura Murray and Jen O'Brien.
After her 17-point, 11-rebound performance on Wednesday, Dunn leads the Atlantic 10 with nine double doubles on the season. She is tied for 24th nationally in total double-doubles. Prior to the 2025-26 season, Dunn had only four double doubles in her three seasons in college basketball.
TRIPLE THREAT
Davidson's three leading scorers, Dunn, Katie Donovan and Kyra Bruyndoncx are all averaging more than 10 points per game this season and at road games this season.
Donovan and Bruyndoncx have been sharpshooters on the road this season, shooting 50.0 and 47.8 percent respectively from beyond the arc.
