LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats fell to Richmond last Saturday, 91-84, in a triple overtime thriller. Three Wildcats recorded 20-point scoring nights, highlighted by Katie Donovan, who scored 27 points on 7-of-15 shooting from beyond the arc. Donovan's shooting kept the Wildcats in the game down the stretch, with two of her threes tying the game in the fourth quarter and the first overtime.
Charlise Dunn and Kyra Bruyndoncx complemented Donovan's night by scoring 21 and 20 points, respectively. Dunn went 6-of-12 from the field and pulled down 11 rebounds for her seventh double-double of the season. Bruyndoncx shot 9-of-15 and led the team with nine points in the first half. Ines Garcia also set a new career-high with eight assists.
SERIES HISTORY
The Rams enter the contest leading the Wildcats in the all-time series 14-7. The 'Cats have picked up the last two wins against Fordham, including a 64-52 senior night victory last season in Belk Arena
Donovan scored a game-high 24 points for the Wildcats in the win, shooting 4-for-9 from beyond the arc, while Charlise Dunn chipped in 12 points, nine rebound performances.
Fordham have opened conference play with an 0-5 record, most recently falling to Dayton, 66-58.
TRIPLE 20
Despite the overtime loss, the trio of Donovan, Dunn and Bruyndoncx recorded a rare feat in college basketball. The 'Cats are one of two teams this season to have three players record 20 points or more in a single game. Their fellow A-10 member, La Salle, also accomplished this feat earlier this season.
Dunn leads the team with four 20-point performances this season. This marks the 12th time in her career she has eclipsed the 20-point mark in her career and would need three more to enter the top five in program history in 20-point games. Donovan and Bruyndoncx each recorded their third 20-point game of the season.
CHASING 1000
Following her 21-point performance, Charlise Dunn sits a 928 career points, including her freshman season at Virgina Tech. She averages 15.7 points per game and would hit 1000 in approximately five games.
If Dunn maintains her current pace of scoring and rebounding, she would be one of three Davidson women's basketball players in program history to have 1000 points, 500 rebounds, 100 steals and 120 three points field goals, alongside Laura Murray and Jen O'Brien.
