Ostos Earns A-10 Rookie Honors

WASHINGTON — After scoring in Davidson's win over Lock Haven, Wildcat Emilia Ostos has been named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday evening.
It's her first honor, and she's the third Wildcat to be recognized by the A-10 this season.
"Emilia is consistently putting in the work up front," said coach Zoe Almquist. "She's such a great presser and does so much to support our front line! It's super exciting to see her finishing, too! I'm so proud of her!"
Ostos scored her second goal of the season on Friday, as the Wildcats defeated A-10 foe Lock Haven 5-1, improved to 6-3 overall and 2-0 in the league and secured their fifth straight win.
Wildcats Sib Naaktgeboren and Lourdes Wolf have also earned A-10 weekly honors this year. Naaktgeboren was A-10 Player of the Week on Sept. 15 and Sept. 22, and Wolf was A-10 Rookie of the Week on Sept. 22.
Davidson returns to action Friday when the Wildcats visit A-10 foe VCU.
