DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson women's basketball team begins a three-game homestand with a test against defending Big South champion High Point Wednesday evening inside Belk Arena.

LAST TIME OUT
Behind a 19-3 run to start the third quarter, Charlotte defeated Davidson 71-61 in the annual "Battle of the 704 Cup" Sunday evening inside Halton Arena.
Katie Donovan and Charlise Dunn led the way for the Wildcats with 16 and 15 points, respectively. Jasmine Timmerson also scored in double figures with a career-high 13 points on 5-of-5 shooting, including three 3-pointers.
Trailing 27-23 with 4:31 to play in the second quarter, Davidson ended the half on a 12-3 spurt capped by eight straight points from Dunn to lead 35-31 at the break.
Charlotte, which shot 51.8 percent after intermission, used another run early in the final 10 minutes to push the margin back double digits and put the game out of reach.
SERIES HISTORY
Davidson leads the all-time series over High Point 12-3 dating back to the 2006-07 season. The Wildcats dropped last season's matchup to the Panthers 56-53 on the road.
Candice Lienafa and Kyra Bruyndoncx led the charge for the Wildcats, combining for 24 points with 13 and 11, respectively. Millie Prior paced the 'Cats on defense, grabbing 15 of Davidson's 36 rebounds and blocking two shots, while going for seven points and four assists.
High Point enters the contest 10-1 after defeating N.C. Central by 22 points last Sunday.
HOME SWEET HOME
The 'Cats have been excellent inside Belk Arena this season, sporting a 5-0 record this season and winning their past nine home games dating back to Jan. 29, 2024. They are averaging 75.2 points per game and outscoring their opponent by an average of 19 points. The team shoots a 45.2 percent clip from the field and 39.5 percent from deep while averaging 10.1 threes per game.
Katie Donovan is averaging 18.0 points per game inside the friendly confines of Belk Arena, shooting 56.9 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from 3-point range, and she is a perfect 8-for-8 from the charity stripe. Dunn is nearly averaging a double-double in five games, scoring 15.0 points per game and 8.0 rebounds per game.
TIMMERSON TIME
Junior guard Jasmine Timmerson notched the best game of her career against Charlotte on Sunday. She went 5-for-5 from the field and 3-of-3 from deep for 13 points and dished out a team-high four assists. She also tied her career-high with four steals.
In the third quarter against Charlotte, Timmerson scored or assisted on eight of the team's 13 points, allowing the Wildcats to cut a nine-point deficit to one going into the fourth quarter.
