Kochera Named A-10 Player of the Week

WASHINGTON -- Davidson captain Connor Kochera has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference's Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
The weekly honor is the first for Kochera from the A-10, who scored a career-high 34 points in a dominant 86-64 victory over Eastern Michigan on Saturday afternoon.
The fifth year guard connected on his first seven shots from the floor and finished 11-of-13 to go along with a 9-of-12 effort from the charity stripe. He also shot 3-of-4 from beyond the arc in Davidson's first 30-point performance since David Skogman scored 30 at Charlotte last November.
Kochera and the Wildcats return to the floor on New Year's Eve to tip off Atlantic 10 play at George Mason. Opening tip is slated for 2 p.m. in Fairfax, Va.
