Blums Named A-10 Rookie of the Week

WASHINGTON — Davidson guard Roberts Blums has been named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.
The weekly honor is the first for Blums and the Wildcats this season.
In a 2-0 week, Blums averaged 12.5 points, 1.5 assists and one rebound per game, while shooting 47.4 percent from the floor and 43.8 from 3-point range (7-of-16).
The freshman from Latvia scored a season-best 13 points in the 75-71 win over Charlotte Dec. 10, then scored 12 in Saturday's 86-51 win over Detroit Mercy. Saturday, he hit a season-high four treys.
Through 10 games, Blums is averaging 7.5 points per game, fourth on the team.
Blums and the Wildcats (8-2) will visit Temple on Wednesday evening.
