Logan-led Red Tops Black 46-40 in Scrimmage

DAVIDSON — Sean Logan and Mike Loughnane combined for 31 points to lead Red past Black 46-40 in Davidson's annual Red-Black Scrimmage Friday evening in Belk Arena.

Logan dunked home the night's first points off an alley-oop assist from Bobby Durkin and twice provided six straight Red points, while also grabbing a game-high eight rebounds and blocking two shots. Loughnane shot 2-for-4 from long range as the only Wildcat to land multiple treys, and one of them came during an early 9-0 run, which led to a 19-7 lead, the largest of the night.

Roberts Blums (7 points), Riccardo Ghedini (5 points) and Bobby Durkin (3 points) rounded out Red's scoring.

Black's Reed Bailey led all scorers with 18 points, including 10 straight for his team midway through the 20-minute session. Zach Laput added 13 points for Black, and Connor Kochera had a game-high four assists to go with four points. Nick Coval and Phillip Kavu chipped in with three points and two points, respectively, for Black.

Brock Matheny and Luke Zimmerman also saw time for Red, while Michael Katsock played for Black.

Newcomers Joe Hurlburt and Manie Joses did not play.
