DAVIDSON, N.C. - The Davidson women's basketball team will hit the road as they travel to Philadelphia for a meeting with Saint Joseph's 2 p.m. Saturday.

SERIES HISTORY...
Saint Joseph's holds a 12-1 lead in the all-time series over Davidson with the most recent meeting ending in a 64-53 Wildcat loss in the second round of the Atlantic 10 Championships on Mar. 2, 2023.
 
Elle Sutphin ended the day with 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Issy Morgan scored nine and dished six assists.

LAST TIME OUT...
The Wildcats returned to their winning ways when they picked up a commanding 72-42 win over UMass Wednesday inside John M. Belk Arena.
 
Mallorie Haines scored a game-high 15 points to lead the way, while Charlise Dunn added a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Maddie Plank narrowly missed a double-double of her own with 14 points and nine boards to go with a game-high five assists, while Morgan and Katie Donovan scored 11 and 10 points, respectively. Millie Prior had four blocks to go with eight points and six boards.
 
BIG NUMBERS OVER UMASS...
The victory over the Minutewomen marked the 12th contest this season in which the Wildcats have defeated an opponent by at least 11 points. The 30-point win also tallied the second time in which the 'Cats had five players score in double figures with the first time coming in their road win over Charlotte before the New Year.
 
Davidson held UMass to just eight points in the first, third and fourth quarters while adding to a strong defensive effort with a +21 rebounding margin (42-21), its largest of the season. The Wildcat defense held the Minutewomen to just a 30.8 showing from the floor and 30.0 percent from beyond the arc.
 
CONGRATS COACH FULKS...
Wednesday's victory was the 100th in the Head Coaching career of Gayle Fulks at Davidson College. Fulks became the third head coach in program history to achieve the 100-win milestone. Additionally, Wednesday morning Coach Fulks was one of 10 coaches named to the Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Head Coach of the Year midseason watch list.
 
'CATS IN THE CONFERENCE...
Davidson continues to play well through the opening stanza of conference contests as they claim a strong +42 scoring margin over A-10 opponents over the first quarter of action. The Wildcat defense is also proving tough in conference play, having held its league opponents to just 57.8 points per game and only a 39.6 shooting percentage from the floor.
 
In seven conference games and six starts, Dunn leads the 'Cats with 12.3 points per game as well as 12 steals and 10 blocks in those contests. In league play, Dunn has shot an efficient 94.4 from the charity stripe, having missed only one of her 18 attempted free throws.

The Hawks picked up their fifth consecutive win via 65-40 victory over St. Bonaventure on the road Wednesday. Saint Joe's extended their road winning streak to 10-0 with the away victory as well.
 
A LOOK AT SAINT JOE'S...
Four Hawks enter the weekend averaging double figures, led by Talya Brugler with 16.3 points and Laura Ziegler with 14.5 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. As a team, Saint Joe's tallies 67.3 points and 35.3 rebound per game while shooting 44.8 from the floor.
 
UP NEXT...
Davidson will travel to Olean, N.Y. to finish out January against St. Bonaventure Jan. 31 for a 7 p.m. tip off.
