
‘Cats Topped by Saint Joe’s

PHILADELPHIA, PA. – The Davidson women's basketball team was defeated on the road on Sunday afternoon, falling 68-42 at Saint Joseph's.
Charlise Dunn had an efficient day from the floor, scoring 16 points on a 7-of-14 showing with two three's, two steals and a pair of blocks. Issy Morgan joined Dunn in double figures scoring 10 points while Millie Prior brought in eight rebounds.
After trailing by as many as 17 with 6:54 to play in the third quarter, Davidson used an 8-0 run to cut the deficit to single digits before finding itself behind 47-38 entering the fourth quarter.
However, Saint Joe's would hold the Wildcats to only four fourth quarter points while scoring 21 of its own and re-extending its lead to an eventual 68-42 at the final buzzer.
Davidson shot 30.0 from the floor while the Hawks connected on 47.3 percent of their shot attempts. Saint Joe's won the battle on the glass 43-23.
The Hawks were led by Talya Brugler with 19 points as well as Mackenzie Smith with a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double.
