DAVIDSON, N.C. - The Davidson women's basketball team will look to snap a two-game losing streak when they face Atlantic 10 competitor UMass 7 p.m. Wednesday inside John M. Belk Arena.

SERIES HISTORY...
The Wildcats trail the Minutewomen in the all-time series 9-4 dating back to the 2014-15 season. Davidson is in search of a win as they suffered a 78-64 loss on the road in Amherst, Mass Feb. 19, 2023. Issy Morgan had an efficient day, scoring 19 points off a 7-of-11 effort from the field and four made three's. The sophomore point guard also dished eight assists, just one shy of her career high. Elle Sutphin and Suzi-Rose Deegan joined Morgan in double figures, scoring 16 and 15, respectively, while Deegan also grabbed nine rebounds.

LAST TIME OUT...
The Wildcats fought through all 40 minutes but came up short in a 66-59 loss to Duquesne Sunday in John M. Belk Arena. Sutphin led the 'Cats with a season-high 20 points to go along with seven rebounds while Charlise Dunn accompanied her in double figures with 15 points, six rebounds, two steals and a game-high three blocks. Both players tallied two three pointers as well.
THE DYNAMIC DUO...
Australia natives Dunn and Millie Prior have served as a solid one-two-punch for the Wildcats all season. More specifically, in conference competition, the duo have combined for 36.5 percent of Davidson's scoring. As a team the Wildcats are shooting 43.3 from the floor while the pair is shooting 47.5.
In six starts over seven A-10 games, Dunn averages 12.6 points and 4.4 rebounds while shooting 42.9 percent from the floor and a near perfect 17-of-18 from the foul line as well as 10 blocks.
Prior in seven consecutive starts in league action tallies 9.6 ppg and a roster-high 7.6 rpg while connecting on an efficient 53.8 percent from the floor with 10 blocks.
STELLAR SUTPHIN...
Sutphin continues to catch fire as of late as after a pair of 15-point contests, the redshirt senior Forward from Pilot Mountain, N.C. tallied a season-high 20 points against Duquesne. Sutphin has nailed seven 3-pointers in the last three contest including three vs. Richmond. Sutphin rounds out her conference stat line having averaged 11.3 ppg and shooting 44.8 percent from the floor over six A-10 appearances.
GETTING OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT...
Since entering the conference portion of the schedule, Davidson has been off to hot starts in the opening action of its contests. Through seven A-10 games, the Wildcats are outscoring their opponents by a +33 margin (127-94) in the first quarter alone.
Overall this year the 'Cats have defeated 11 opponents by way of an 11+ point margin of victory including all three of their conference wins.
ONE MORE WIN...
Having compiled an already impressive season through the opening half of the year, head coach Gayle Fulks (99-98) enters the weekend one win away from her 100th career win as a head coach.
The current 13 wins is now Coach Fulks' fifth most wins in a season at Davidson. Fulks is on pace, with 12 regular season contests remaining in the year for her best season yet a top an 18-15 2021-22 season.
