DAVIDSON, N.C. - The Davidson women's basketball team will look to push their Atlantic 10 conference wins to four when they welcome Duquesne to Belk Arena 2 p.m. Sunday.

SERIES HISTORY...
The Dukes arrive at Belk Arena with a slight 6-5 lead in the all-time series over the Wildcats. Davidson is currently on a four- game winning streak against Duquesne with its most recent contest ending in an exciting 66-65 win Jan. 22, 2023 in Pittsburgh.

Issy Morgan (20), Maddie Plank (15), Elle Sutphin (13) and Suzi-Rose Deegan (10) led the 'Cats over the win.

LAST TIME OUT...
The Wildcats played closely but were narrowly edged 59-54 Wednesday by Atlantic 10 leader Richmond inside John M. Belk Arena.

Sutphin was the lone Davidson player in double figures with 15 points. Three others added nine each in  Morgan, who also contributed eight rebounds, three assists and three steals while Millie Prior had nine points and 12 boards.

THE DUO FROM DOWN UNDER...
Australia natives Charlise Dunn and Prior have served as a solid one-two-punch for the Wildcats all season. More specifically, in conference competition, the duo have combined for 37.1 percent of Davidson's scoring. As a team the Wildcats are shooting 43.5 from the floor.

In five starts over six A-10 games, Dunn averages 12.1 points and 4.1 rebounds while shooting 44.6 percent from the floor and a perfect 14-of-14 from the charity stripe.

Prior over six starts in league action tallies 10.5 ppg and 7.6 rpg while connecting on an efficient 56.5 percent from the floor with eight blocks.

DOUBLE FIGURE SUTPHIN...
After missing a few games in the first quarter of the season,  Sutphin is back to business having registered her first double-double of the season in fine fashion at Fordham courtesy of a 15-point, 10-rebound performance. Sutphin tacked on a season-high of three blocks to go with Sunday's stat line and shot an efficient 6-of-12 from the floor and 2-of-3 from 3-point range. Sutphin followed up the big road performance with a team-high 15 points in the 'Cats game Wednesday against Richmond. The Forward from Pilot Mountain, N.C. nailed three 3-pointers in the mid-week contest.

GREAT STARTS AND STRONG FINISHES...
Since entering the conference portion of the schedule, David- son has been off to hot starts in the opening action of its con- tests. Through six A-10 games, the Wildcats are outscoring their opponents by a +36 margin (109-73) in the first quarter alone.

Overall this year the 'Cats have defeated 11 opponents by way of an 11+ point margin of victory including all three of their conference wins.

FULKS CLOSING IN ON MILESTONE WIN...
Having compiled an already impressive season through the opening half of the year, head coach Gayle Fulks (99-97) enters the weekend one win away from her 100th career win as a head coach.

The current 13 wins is now Coach Fulks' fifth most wins in a season at Davidson. Fulks is on pace, with 12 regular season contests remaining in the year for her best season yet a top an 18-15 2021-22 season.

LAST TIME OUT...
Duquesne picked up a 76-67 win over St. Bonaventure in UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse Wednesday.

The Dukes averaged 69.1 points and 36.4 points per game while shooting 41.8 percent from the floor, 34.9 percent from beyond the arc and 64.5 percent from the foul line. Four players average double digits, led by Megan McCon- nell who tallies 12.6 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 4.6 apg and 2.2 spg. In the Dukes most recent contest with the 'Cats McConnell scored 12 points while Tess Myers went for a team-high 18.

The Wildcats round out their three straight home games when UMass travels to John M. Belk Arena Jan. 27 for a 7 p.m. tip off.
