
Wildcats Fall to Hot-Shooting Patriots

FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason started fast and shot 52.9 percent in a 79-41 victory over Davidson in Atlantic 10 women's basketball action Wednesday evening inside EagleBank Arena.
The Wildcats fall to 12-3 overall and 2-2 in league action, while the Patriots improve to 12-3 and 2-2.
Mason, which raced out to a 21-7 advantage and led 46-24 at the half also connected on 7-of-15 from behind the 3-point line.
Davidson was led by Millie Prior, who finished with 12 points and six rebounds.
Sonia Smith paced the Patriots with 17 points.
The Wildcats struggled from the floor shooting just 32.0 percent, including 1-of-15 from long range.
