DAVIDSON, N.C. – Coming off a 3-1 win this past Tuesday, the Davidson men's soccer team will travel to the Bronx for an Atlantic 10 showdown with the Fordham Rams on Saturday night.

Since moving to the A-10, the Wildcats are 0-4-1 against Fordham with last year's match ending in a 2-2 tie. This season, Davidson enters the weekend atop the conference with a 2-0 A-10 record and a 6-1-1 overall mark. The Rams are 1-1 in league play and own a 4-1-3 overall record.

The Bounce-Back 'Cats
Since dropping their first game of the season nine days ago, the Wildcats have turned it up a notch on both sides of the ball. Davidson has scored six goals while allowing one in its last two games, and all six Wildcat goals have come from different players.

On the year, the 'Cats have outscored opponents 15-4, average 1.88 goals per game, and allow just 0.50 goals per game. Mike Babst's squad has allowed goals in just three of its first eight games with only one multi-score game surrendered.

Individually, Vincent Bennage enters Saturday night's clash as Davidson's leading scorer as he now owns four goals with three assists following Tuesday's one-goal, two-assist performance against Furman.

Denis Krioutchenkov and Alonzo Clarke are just behind him with three goals and eight points on the year. Krioutchenkov ranks inside the top 25 nationally in shots per game with 26 shots in eight games (3.25 per game) and ranks top-five in the A-10 in total shots (T-4th) and shots on goal (4th, 12).

On defense, senior goalkeeper Lou Liedtka has been busy the last two games. The Wyncote, Pa., native has made 12 saves with seven against Furman and five more against George Washington. Liedtka is currently tied for the third-most shutouts in Division I soccer with five, and he also ranks fifth in the country in save percentage (87.1%).

About the Rams
Entering the weekend, the Rams have outscored their opponents 16-8 while taking 130 shots compared to 82 by their opponents.

The Rams were handed their first loss of the season last Saturday against Saint Louis after the Billikens scored a shorthanded goal with 15 minutes to play.

Offensively, Fordham is led by graduate student Timo Hummerich. Hummerich ranks top-10 in the A-10 in goals (T-3rd, 5), points (T-5th, 11), game-winning goals (T-2nd, 2), and shots (9th, 22). The Rams also have two other key threats on offense in Florian Deletioglu, who also ranks top-10 in the A-10 with four goals and 10 points. Sophomore midfielder Daniel D'Ippolito leads the team in total shots with 24 to go with three goals and three assists.

In goal, Abbott Carter sports a 3-1-3 record and ranks among the top of the league in goals allowed (T-2nd, 5), total saves (T-6th, 23), and shutouts (T-3rd, 3).
