In a stretch of playing mostly home games, the Davidson field hockey team will be on the road Friday afternoon.

The Wildcats will visit Atlantic 10 foe VCU at 3 p.m. in Richmond, Va., in their only road game in a span of seven games.

LATEST ON THE 'CATS
Davidson enters the weekend 3-5 overall and 0-1 in the A-10.

Most recently, the Wildcats defeated Lindenwood 6-1 on Sept. 17 after scoring three goals in the first 7:21 of play.

Abby Pompeo scored two of those goals and leads the Wildcats with five goals, which ranks second in the conference. Macy Curtis, Matilda Collins, Hannah Merritt, Celie Constantine, Sib Naaktgeboren and Sarah Minges have scored two apiece. Naaktgeboren is second in the A-10 with 3.00 shots per game, and Curtis is tied for second with three assists.

Collins was named A-10 Rookie of the Week on Monday after totaling two goals and two assists last weekend.

SCOUTING THE RAMS
VCU is 5-2 overall and 0-1 in the A-10, with the Rams' losses coming to No. 4 Louisville and No. 13 Saint Joseph's.

VCU started the season with four straight wins, including a 4-3 season-opening win over No. 20 Delaware.

The Rams are led by Mora Marrero, who is second in the A-10 with five goals and 13 points. She leads the league with 2.17 points per game.

Morena Macera has scored four goals and has 10 points.

Rams Georgia Carr-Brown and Camila Rosenbrock were named to the A-10 Preseason All-Conference Team.

Goalkeeper Sheridan Messier is the reigning A-10 Defensive Player of the Week.

SCOUTING STONEHILL
Stonehill is in its second Division I season and will start its weekend by visiting Queens, another second-year Division I program.

The Skyhawks are 0-7 entering Friday's game in Charlotte.

Raegan Hickey leads the team with three goals and seven points.

SUNDAY'S SOCIAL JUSTICE GAME
During their May trip to South Africa, the Wildcats volunteered with the SAVE Foundation, a non-profit organization that serves the disadvantaged communities in South Africa. Sunday, the Wildcats are highlighting that partnership and offering fans a chance to help SAVE by scanning a link at the stadium entrance or on the Wildcats' Instagram page.
