Wildcats Ousted at College of Charleston, 5-2

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The Davidson men's tennis team fell 5-2 at College of Charleston on Saturday morning.
Alejandro Solares and Juan Camilo Perez Gongora scored the Wildcats' two points of the day, as Solares earned a 7-6, 6-4 win at No. 2 and Perez fought through a 7-6, 6-2 decision on court three.
Solares has now won six-straight singles matches at No. 3 & No. 2, and has not dropped a match since February 3. The junior improves to 7-3 overall in solo play. Today's court three win also marks Perez Gongora's fourth singles victory of the season, as the sophomore is now 2-0 when competing at court three.
The Wildcats were without junior Maxwell Kachkarov against the Cougars.

Davidson will remain in Charleston and return to action on Tuesday, March 7 at The Citadel.
