
Davidson Hosts Fordham Saturday in Regular Season Finale

Saturday's tip off will also be Senior Day, with the ceremony beginning promptly at 12:45 p.m.
THE SERIES
- The Wildcats' conference rival, Fordham, holds the all-time series record at a 13-5 advantage.
- Dating back to the 2018-19 season, the 'Cats and Rams exchanged one win per meeting until Fordham began a four-game win streak over the 'Cats from Jan. 31, 2021 to Jan. 1, 2023.
- On average, the Wildcats score 56 points per game against the Rams, but scored 60 or more points in their three most recent wins in the series.
- In the last meeting, the Davidson Wildcats led the Fordham Rams for 23 minutes of Atlantic 10 action before the Fordham charged back with a 53 percent shooting effort in the final quarter to win the conference opener, 67-64.
- Fifth year guard Chloe Welch drained two free throws with 1:48 left in the game to tie things up at 59-all and with under a minute to go, trailing 63-59, Suzi-Rose Deegan scored five more points for the 'Cats before the final buzzer sounded. In the final 30 seconds of play, Fordham converted on four-straight free throw opportunities to secure the victory.
- A win would mark first win over the Rams since December 2020.
LAST TIME OUT... Four Wildcats scored in double figures for the seventh time this season, as the Davidson women's basketball team pulled out a second half comeback to defeat George Washington 66-59 in Atlantic 10 action on Wednesday night. Suzi-Rose Deegan (16), Elle Sutphin (15), Mallorie Haines (12) and Tomisin Adenupe (11) each reached double-digits, as the 'Cats improved to 6-7 in A-10 play. The win also makes Davidson 5-2 when four Wildcats reach double digits this season.
ABOUT THE RAMS... Fordham took down Rhode Island, 74-73, in overtime on Wednesday night on Anna DeWolfe's buzzer-beating three. The Rams are 17-11 overall this season and 9-6 in Atlantic 10 play. Fordham is currently in a three-way tie for second place among the league standings.
THE GRAND FINALE... Suzi-Rose Deegan, Chloe Welch, Cameron Tabor, Peyton Carter and Adelaide Fuller will all be honored for their contributions to the women's basketball program over the years prior to Saturday's tip off. Welch has been a five-year member of the squad, who has scored 984 career points, while Deegan, Tabor, Carter and Fuller have all been four year members of the program. Deegan became the 22nd member of the program's 1,000-point club earlier this season, and ranks 15th all-time in career points (1,102). Senior day celebrations will begin promptly at 12:45 p.m.
