The Series

- Last season, the Wildcats swept the season series against GW with a 51-46 win at home and 67-37 win on the road.
- Davidson's 67-37 win in DC last season was the fewest points the Wildcats have ever allowed in an Atlantic 10 contest. In the win, Elle Sutphin dropped 16 points and the 'Cats shot 56.5 percent from the floor.
LAST TIME OUT... The Davidson Wildcats dropped their third-straight Atlantic 10 contest on Sunday afternoon, falling 78-64 to reigning league champions, Massachusetts. Issy Morgan had an efficient day, scoring 19 points off a 7-of-11 effort from the field and four made three's. The sophomore point guard also dished a season-high eight assists, just one shy of her career high. Morgan made a three-point play in the early goings to give Davidson a one-point lead, as the 'Cats and Mineutewomen went on to exchange leads until the 6:39-mark. The Wildcats took their last lead of the day at a 9-8 advantage after a jumper inside from Elle Sutphin, before UMass rattled off an 8-0 run and pulled away for the remainder of the day.
DOWN THE STRETCH... Davidson's final four games of the regular season have come against four of the top-five teams in the A-10 currently. After falling to No. 3 Saint Joe's and No. 1 UMass, the 'Cats have left to face No. 2 George Washington on Wednesday and Fordham, who is in a three-way tie for third place with Saint Joe's and Saint Louis, on Saturday for Senior Day.
SUTPHIN'S SEASON... Redshirt-junior Elle Sutphin has had a stellar year for the Wildcats, averaging 16.9 points per game, ranking 79th in the nation in points per game average and 18th in free throw percentage with an 88.5 percent effort at the line. Shooting 49.5 percent from the field, Sutphin also ranks 70th nationally in field goal percentage.
ABOUT THE COLONIALS... Following a 61-50 victory over Loyola Chicago last Saturday, GW now boasts an impressive 11-2 record at the Smith Center this season. GW's 11 home victories are its most in a single campaign since 2016-17, and the team's win percentage at the Smith Center (.846) is the second-highest mark in the A-10 this year. In addition to GW's 11 home dubs, the team is also riding a six-game home winning streak. During the streak, GW has outscored its opponents by an average of 10.7 points while holding opponents to just 52 points per game. First-year Nya Robertson has been averaging 20.5 points a night during the stretch.
