Black Tops Red 41-30 in Annual Preseason Scrimmage

DAVIDSON — Reed Bailey led all scorers with 14 points and helped Davidson Black top Davidson Red 41-30 in the annual Red-Black Scrimmage Friday night in Belk Arena.
A sophomore forward, Bailey shot 6-of-10 from the floor and also led all players with four rebounds in the 20-minute session. Guards Grant Huffman and Connor Kochera added nine points apiece for Black, while Angelo Brizzi scored five and David Skogman had four.
Bobby Durkin and Achile Spadone led Red with seven points apiece, while Jarvis Moss chipped in with six and Hunter Adam and Rikus Schulte scored four each. Sean Logan had a bucket to round out the Red scoring.
Also playing on Black were Riccardo Ghedini, Michael Katsock and Chris Sosnik. Mike Loughnane and Brock Matheny rounded out the Red roster.
The Wildcats will open the season Nov. 6 at home against Washington & Lee.
