CHARLESTON, S.C. - Davidson women's tennis dropped their first of three matches set for the weekend against the College of Charleston, 6-1. The 'Cats will go on to face UMass on Saturday and Dayton on Sunday.
"Charleston was a strong team and played well the entire day," head coach Susanne Depka said. "We had several chances and the team score did not reflect how close the match was. We competed very well and had to problem solve on many occasions. I am proud of how much heart we showed and that we never gave up. I believe we can take confidence from this match and be even more hungry going into our match vs. UMass on Saturday."
Kavya Patel was the lone winner of the day for the Wildcats, taking a 6-3, 6-0 win off the court.
Davidson returns to action on Saturday against UMass in its first conference matchup since Feb. 19 against Richmond.
