Back on the Road: 'Cats Travel to SLU for Saturday Tip

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The Davidson women's basketball program is set to continue its four-game road stretch, as the Wildcats travel to the Gateway City this weekend, for a 8 p.m. (EST) tip off against the Saint Louis Billikens on Saturday.
The Series
LAST TIME OUT... The Davidson Wildcats bounced back in a big way on Wednesday night, backed by a combined 55 points from Elle Sutphin and Chloe Welch to defeat the Richmond Spiders 77-71 from inside the Robins Center. The win marked Davidson's first for the month of February and fourth in A-10 play, as the 'Cats shot 50% from the floor during Sutphin's career-high, 32-point performance.
ROAD WARRIORS... The Davidson Wildcats are in the midst of a four-game road stretch, dropping the first of four at Saint Joseph's, 58-51, last Sunday. The 'Cats bounced back with their Wednesday night win at Richmond and will take on La Salle in Philadelphia next Wednesday, after meeting the Billikens on Saturday night. This season, the 'Cats are 7-4 while on the road.
WELCH'S WATCH... Senior guard Chloe Welch has been heating up during the back half of Atlantic 10 play, as the Colorado native has scored in double-figures during four of her last five games while averaging 20.3 points per game over Davidson's last three contests. During that same stretch, Welch has shot 42.5 percent from the field. This season, the senior has a team-high 28 blocks while averaging 4.8 rebounds per game. Saturday's tip off will be Welch's 99th career game.
