Men’s Cross Country Ready for A-10 Championships

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Coming off a season-best finish in their last race, the Davidson men's cross country team will head to Mechanicsville, Va., this weekend to compete in the 2022 Atlantic 10 Championships hosted by the University of Richmond.
The men's 8k race, which will take place Saturday morning on the Pole Green Park course, is scheduled for a 10:50 a.m. start.
The Wildcats have competed in four events this fall, recording a pair of Top-5 finishes, including a third-place showing two weeks ago at the VertCross Invite.
Senior Owen Drometer has paced Davidson over its last two races, highlighted by a personal-best 24:20.0 at the Louisville Classic earlier this month. The native of Medfield, Mass., also came home fifth out of 88 competitors in High Point's event.
Like Drometer, fellow senior Joe dos Reis recorded a Top-10 finish in his last outing with a time of 25:21.3.
Since joining the A-10 in 2014, the Wildcats have recorded a pair of Top-5 showings in the conference championship. They placed just outside last season coming in sixth.
