CARY, N.C. - John Cooper led Davidson with a 14th-place finish in the 6K (18:11.30) at the Adidas XC Challenge on Friday evening. Cooper shattered his time on this course from last season, which was 18:45.30. The Wildcats finished fifth overall as a team in a competitive field.

"I am very pleased with our team's performance," said Coach Andrew Allden. "We finished very close to High Point and Liberty who are both ranked top 15 in the region."

Eric Robinson III was the second Wildcat to cross the finish line and ultimately was 23rd overall. The freshman ran 18:37.90 in this 6K.

Quinn Swanton, Eli Roth, Daniel Cortese, Graham Boles, and Sam Wooten all finished the race within about 10 seconds of each other.

Swanton ran 18:58.30, which was roughly two seconds faster than his time last year at this meet (19:00.80).
