'Cats to Compete With A-10 Foes in Richmond

Davidson swimmers and divers will meet Atlantic 10 Conference foes for the first time this season when they compete in the Richmond Duals Friday and Saturday.
The Wildcat men will face George Mason both days, while the Davidson women will compete against Richmond Friday, then face either George Mason or Duquesne on Saturday.
Diving will be held at the Robins Center, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Swimming will be at SwimRVA, starting at 5 p.m. Friday and 10:15 a.m. Saturday.
LAST TIME OUT
Shelby Stanley won three events to lead the Wildcat swimmers in a dual meet against Queens on Oct. 1.
Stanley, who has won the last two Atlantic 10 Performer of the Year honors, won the three individual events for which she holds the school record. She swam out front in the 100 fly (57.05), the 200 fly (2:07.40) and 200 IM (2:09.32).
Kate Pottle (500 free, 5:05.54) and Cynthia Huang (200 back, 2:07.53) added wins for the Davidson women, while Dylan Felt was a two-event winner for the men, taking first in the 500 free (4:32.18) and 1,000 free (9:28.47).
FIRST TIME OUT
This weekend's meet will be the first competition of the year for Davidson's divers.
Annica Valmassei is the returning A-10 women's 3-meter champion (262.50 points), while Ben Cutforth was the top Davidson male finisher last year, taking fourth in the 3M.
The Wildcat men will face George Mason both days, while the Davidson women will compete against Richmond Friday, then face either George Mason or Duquesne on Saturday.
