Field Hockey to Host No. 9 Saint Joseph's Friday

One of the top-ranked teams in the country will visit the Davidson field hockey team Friday night.
The Wildcats will play three of their final four games at home, starting with that 6 p.m. contest against No. 9 Saint Joseph's, the Atlantic 10 Conference leader.
Davidson is 3-12 overall and 0-5 in A-10 play.
KABELAC AND CO.
Midfielder Charlie Kabelac continues to produce for the Wildcats, leading the team with five goals and 15 points.
Kabelac is tied for fifth in the A-10 with five assists, tied for ninth in points and tied for 12th in goals.
Sib Naaktgeboren leads the A-10 with six assists, and Sarah Minges is tied for the league lead with five defensive saves.
SCOUTING SAINT JOSEPH'S
The Hawks (11-3 overall, 5-0 A-10) have won their last seven games, including a 5-0 victory at Saint Louis on Saturday. They've also won five A-10 tournament titles, including last season and four of the previous five, and have finished atop the league standings five of the past six years.
Junior Lily Santi leads the A-10 with 30 points and is tied for the league lead with 12 goals and six assists. Manu Ghigliotti, last year's A-10 Offensive Player of the Year, has 18 points, as does Freke van Tilburg. Keeper Robin Bleekemolen leads the nation with a 0.78 goals-against average.
Davidson has never beaten St. Joe's, as the Hawks lead the all-time series 7-0.
After playing Davidson, the Hawks are scheduled to face No. 1 North Carolina Sunday in Chapel Hill.
SCOUTING BALL STATE
Non-conference foe Ball State will visit Belk Turf Field at 12 p.m. Sunday after a Friday night contest at Appalachian State.
The Cardinals enter that game 7-7 overall and 4-1 in the MAC.
Fleur Knopert is their top offensive threat, leading the way with nine goals, five assists and 23 points.
