Field Hockey Falls to No. 9 Saint Joseph's

DAVIDSON — The Atlantic 10's top field hockey team, No. 9 Saint Joseph's, proved to be too much for Davidson Friday night in a 6-0 contest at Belk Turf Field.
Lily Santi, the A-10's leading offensive threat, was the catalyst, scoring three goals and assisting on another, as the Hawks improved to 6-0 in league play.
The Hawks struck with their first goal just 2:03 into the game, on a shot by Freke van Tilburg and led 5-0 by halftime.
Davidson finished with two shots-on-goal, off the sticks of Emelia Little and Adriana Risi.
The play of the night from the Wildcats came from goalkeeper Genna Barge, who stopped a penalty stroke by Santi in the fourth quarter.

The Wildcats will play non-conference foe Ball State at 12 p.m. Sunday.
