George Mason Stadium will be closed to spectators, but have no fear, the weekend will be streamed on ESPN+!
2020 A-10 INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP REWIND
The last time we saw the Wildcats in championship action was the 2020 A-10 Indoor Championship at Rhode Island. During that weekend, Eleni Daughters won her first A-10 title, claiming the top spot on the podium in the 1000-meter run.
Makayla Binter '20 broke her own record in the pentathlon and placed third with teammates Hazel Tankard and Hannah Kanjian right behind in fourth and fifth.
Bianca Nolde-Lopez and Rachel Horowitz scored in the 400-meter run, while Grace Loehr earned point in the 500-meters.
RECORDS BEWARE
Hungry to get back on the track, on the runways and in throwing circles, Davidson has already broke six records this season.
Junior Bianca Nolde-Lopez has been busy and involved in three of the 'Cats records. Nolde-Lopez holds the 400-meter run record and teamed up with Cassandra Blau, Kate Carnevale and Meghan Corso for the 4x100-meter relay record. She also took down the 4x400-meter relay record along with Rachel Horowitz, Marquia Humphries and Grace Loehr.
Junior hurdler Anna Davis continues to test her limits in the 400-meter hurdles, breaking the record four times this season. Her latest feat dropped the time down to 1:00.96. She is also within striking distance of the 100-meter hurdle mark.
Sophomore Hannah Kanjian wasted no time getting back to doing everything well, breaking the heptathlon record in her first meet back with 4,805 points.
Classmate Carolina Djakuduel made history when she became the first woman ever at Davidson to throw the hammer. Djakuduel is all over the all-time top-10 list, ranking among the best in the shot put, discus and the hammer, of course!
COACH'S COMMENTS - DIRECTOR OF WOMEN'S T&F/XC
"We have a lot of momentum going into championship weekend after a steady stream of improvements and records throughout the season. We hope to bring that same energy into the weekend!"
