DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson returns to Alumni Stadium Saturday for the first of three straight at home when former SoCon rival Wofford visits 1992 Team Field for a 6 p.m. contest.
The Wildcats enter 0-2-0 on the young season following a pair of 1-0 setbacks, including the most recent at No. 3 Wake Forest Monday evening.
After postponing three games and an 18-day hiatus due to COVD-19 protocols, Davidson held one of the nation's top teams scoreless for more than 74 minutes.
In addition to a pair of scoring chances in the opening half, Boston College transfer Giacomo Piccardo was solid in goal for the Wildcats with a game-high four saves.
Like the Wildcats, Wofford enters in search of its first win sitting at 0-2-0 following a 2-1 loss at South Carolina over the weekend.
The two teams have met 26 times on the pitch with Davidson leading the all-time series 21-4-1, including a 3-0 blanking of the Terriers in the last meeting on Sept. 15, 2017.
