GREENVILLE, S.C. -- A slow start in the doubles portion of the day startled the Davidson women's tennis team, as the Wildcats fell 7-0 to Furman University on Saturday.
The Paladins swept all three doubles matches, before snagging the remaining six singles contests as well.Â
Davidson fell in two sets in five of the six singles matches, with Elizabeth Truluck forcing a third-set tiebreaker from court two, against Furman's Madison Dillon. Truluck dropped the first frame 6-2, before bouncing back to take the second 7-5. Despite battling in the third, Truluck came up just short in the tiebreaker set.Â
The Wildcats will look to bounce back tomorrow, as they play host to Middle Tennessee State University at home at 1 p.m.Â
