LAST TIME OUT... The 'Cats came back to Belk Arena last Sunday for their first home game since Jan. 3 and played host to conference rival, Fordham University. Despite winning handedly against the Rams earlier this season, Fordham came out fast and took revenge, downing the Wildcats 73-55. Suzi-Rose Deegan led Davidson with 15 points and nine boards, while Chloe Welch recorded her 11th double-digit scoring performance this year with 11 points of her own. Eight of Welch's 11 points came from the fourth quarter alone, as the Rams torched the nets for 45 percent on the day.
VS. THE BONNIES... Since joining the Atlantic 10 in 2014-15, Davidson trails 4-3 in the all-time series against St. Bonnies. The Wildcats dropped the lone meeting last season, 68-56 in Olean, NY. Throughout her career, senior Katie Turner has averaged 12.8 points per game against the Bonnies. The 'Cats are 1-3 when playing inside the Reilly Center and 3-1 against the Bonnies during Head Coach Gayle Fulks' tenure.
ABOUT ST. BONAVENTURE... The Bonnies are 2-10 overall and 1-8 in Atlantic 10 play so far this season. Davidson is ninth among the conference standings, while St. Bonaventure sits in 12th place currently. Asiane Johnson leads Bonaventure, averaging 13.5 points per game, while teammate Tori Harris averages 10.1 points per contest to go along with 6.3 rebounds per game. Olivia Brown is the Bonnies' largest three-point threat, as she is shooting 35.2 percent from beyond the arc this year.
NOTEWORTHY... The Wildcats average 65.8 points per game this season, but are averaging just 54.5 points per game over their last four contests. Davidson Head Coach Gayle Fulks has reached 51 wins through 105 games at the helm of the Wildcats. She has a .486 winning percentage in that span. Dating back to 12/18/20, sophomore Adelaide Fuller is shooting an impressive 24-of-26 from the charity stripe, while also averaging 10.0 points per game in that span.
AUSSIE MAGIC... Davidson's Australian pipeline of Adelaide Fuller, Cassidy Gould and Suzi-Rose Deegan has proven to have fire power for the Wildcats this year. The trio averages a combined 28.7 points per game and are three of Davidson's top four scorers this season. Fuller earned her first career start on Jan. 10 against the Rhode Island, and Deegan, the reigning A-10 Rookie of the Year, is averaging 12.8 points per game over her last four outings.
TURNER'S TOUCH... Senior guard, Katie Turner has already left her mark on the Wildcats' program throughout her career. She moved to third all-time in career assists (418) after dishing 127 assists last season and is now just 51 assists away from taking over the second all-time slot. The Nevada native is also a member of Davidson's 1,000 point club and moved into fourth all-time for career three-pointers now with 213 total, after draining 66 three's last season. She continues to climb this program rank, as she is just 18 made-three's away from taking over the program record. With one more made three pointer, Turner will take over third place in Davidson's history books for career three-pointers made.
