DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson's starting backcourt of Kellan Grady (second team) and Jon Axel Gudmundsson (third team) have earned all-conference honors, while freshman Hyunjung Lee was voted to the all-rookie team, as announced by the league office Tuesday.
Like his backcourt mate, Grady was a preseason all-conference selection before finishing the regular season ranked fifth in the league in scoring at 17.2 points per game and fourth in minutes played (35.8).
Over his last 11 games, the 6-5 guard is averaging 20.6 points, while shooting 51.7 percent from the floor, including 25-of-51 from 3-point range. In all, Grady hit double figures a team-best 25 times, which featured 12 outings with 20 points or more.
This is Grady's third postseason accolade as the 2018 Rookie of the Year earned second-team honors as a freshman and first team last season.
Gudmundsson, last year's Conference Player of the Year, finished league play ranked among A-10 leaders in scoring (16.3/8th), rebounding (8.1/7th), defensive rebounds (7.3/2nd), assists (5.1/6th), assist/turnover ratio (2.2/4th) and minutes played (37.8/2nd).
The two-time all-conference selection scored in double figures 22 times, which included eight 20-point outings and seven double-doubles. In addition, Gudmundsson hit the following milestones -- 1,700 career points, 750 rebounds, 550 assists, 200 made 3-pointers and 150 steals, making him the first Division I player since 1992-93 to reach those marks for a career.
Lee, the first Davidson freshman to earn all-rookie honors since Grady, ended the regular season seventh among A-10 first-year players in scoring, averaging 8.4 points per game. He also ranked 11th in the conference overall in 3-point field-goal percentage shooting better than 37 percent.
A two-time Atlantic 10 Rookie-of-the-Week selection, Lee appeared in 28 contests off the bench, scoring in double figures 12 times, including a season-high 20 points at VCU (2/7/20). In the Wildcats' victory over Coppin State, he recorded his first-ever double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
