Stanley Secures Fourth A-10 Swim Honor

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Davidson freshman swimmer Shelby Stanley has been named Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
It's the fourth honor of the season for the Roanoke, Va., native. She was also recognized on Oct. 22, Dec. 10 and Jan. 21.
Against Gardner-Webb on Friday, Stanley swept the butterfly events in Cannon Pool. Her 200 fly time of 2:03.77 was the fastest in the A-10 last week, while her 100 fly time (56.51) was second overall and first among league freshmen.
Additionally, she swam the 100 free in 53.02, which was tops among A-10 freshmen and fourth overall.
