DAVIDSON, N.C. — Davidson looks to close out the regular season this Saturday with some winning momentum for next week's Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship when it hosts VCU Saturday at 1 p.m. for Senior Day inside John M. Belk Arena.
The Wildcats (15-13, 8-7 A-10) have assured themselves of hosting the first round next Tuesday and now will be playing for a seeding position on Saturday. The Rams (17-11, 12-3 A-10) sit in second place in the league standings and will be getting a bye into the quarterfinals next weekend.
SENIOR CLASS- 2020
Prior to the game, senior Ally Welling will be honored for her four-year career with the program during a senior day ceremony with family and friends on the court.
QUICK HITS ...
•Davidson is in its 41st season and has collected 465 wins in program history.
•The 'Cats are in their sixth year in the Atlantic 10 after a 21-year run in the SoCon.

•The Australian duo came up big in the extra period, each scoring five points. Deegan scored the 'Cats first four points for a 62-60 lead and later Gould drilled a clutch three-pointer with 50 seconds to go to put them up 69-61.
•Davidson, which trailed by 11 in the third quarter, overcame a 55-49 deficit early in the fourth quarter and then a 58-56 deficit with 35 ticks.
•Gould finished with a season-high 15 points, and Chloe Welch scored 13, all in the second half.
