Grady Tabbed Atlantic 10 Player of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – For the ninth time in his standout career, Davidson's Kellan Grady has been named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

A senior from Boston, Mass., Grady finished the week averaging 17.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game, while shooting 47.2 percent from the floor.

Despite two last-second setbacks to begin the 2020 Maui Invitational, Grady and the 'Cats concluded the annual event with a 77-73 win over UNLV, which included a 22-point effort from the 6-5 guard.

In Davidson's 78-76 loss to No. 17 and eventual champion Texas, Grady finished with 14 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals.

The following night, the three-time all-conference performer and 2018 A-10 Rookie of the Year recorded 17 points and 7 rebounds against Providence.

Grady is the second Wildcat to earn a weekly honor this season as Sam Mennenga was selected Rookie of the Week last week.

Davidson returns to the hardwood Friday evening with a 7 p.m. tip against former Southern Conference foe Georgia Southern inside Belk Arena.
