FAIRFAX, Va. – The Davidson women's track and field team heads to the 2018 Atlantic 10 Indoor Championship Feb. 23-24 at the George Mason Field House.

2018 A-10 CHAMPIONSHIP REWIND
Sarah Sears '18 was named the Most Outstanding Track Performer of the Meet, while her and Caroline Yarbrough counted for 43 points. Sears snapped the tape in the 5k and the mile and placed fourth in the 3k for the Wildcats in a busy weekend of action for the then-senior. Yarbrough placed second in both the 3k and 5k for a pair of podium spots. Also scoring for the 'Cats was Eleni Daughters in the 800m, Maddie Hunter in the 1k and Tori Long in the 400m run.

WHERE THEY STAND
Senior Caroline Yarbrough tuned up for the championship with her best 5k of the season at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational, posting the fastest time in the conference this season (16:37.33). The Greensboro, N.C., native will double in the 3k. A two-time champion in the event, Yarbrough is just outside the top-eight on the performance list with a time of 9:53.36.

Sophomore Eleni Daughters enters the 800m run with the Davidson program record time of 2:11.11 and is among a loaded field of competitors. Her time ranks sixth as she looks to place herself among the league's best.

Multi's athletes, junior Makayla Binter and freshman Hazel Tankard competed well at the Queens Combined Events Meet and seek valuable points in the pentathlon.

The 4x400m relay team set the program record, 3:50.91, in Boston, and will look to improve upon it and seek a high placement at the championship.

RECORD-SETTING
The Wildcats have had a successful season to date, resetting six program records. Junior sprinter Katie Hines has her place in three of them, raising the standard in the 60m (7.90 seconds), 200m (25.34) and was a part of the 4x400m relay team that included Grace Loehr, Tori Long and Bianca Nolde-Lopez. Long also reset her own 500m best (1:14.35), while Nolde-Lopez took down the 400m mark with a time of 57.82 seconds. In the field, Makayla Binter opened the season with a 5.45m mark in the long jump and tuned up with a program best 3377 points at the Queens Combined Events, resetting her own record.

ADD TO IT
Caroline Yarbrough looks to add to her impressive championship resume. The veteran distance runner has won three A-10 titles including a pair of 3,000-meter indoor crowns and has registered 95 total points during indoor and outdoor championship competition.
