• Tied with VCU atop the A-10 standings, the Wildcats enter 17-6 overall and 8-2 in league play following a 54-51 setback at UMass.
• Off to its best start in conference play since joining the league in 2014-15, Davidson is 53-29 in A-10 regular season games and 61-32 including tournament play.
• In league contests, Davidson ranks first in scoring defense (58.5) and third in field-goal percentage defense (.390).
• Preseason all-conference selections Kellan Grady and Jon Axel Gudmundsson continue to lead Davidson in scoring, averaging 16.6 and 16.5 points, respectively.

• Despite the setback, Jon Axel Gudmundsson led the way with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the Wildcats, who fall to 17-6 overall and 8-2 in conference play.
• Carl Pierre paced a pair of Minutemen in double figures with a game-high 23 points, while Clergeot added 12.
• Trailing 38-33 early in the second half, Davidson reeled off eight unanswered to go up, 41-38 with 10:18 to play. Following a Pierre trey that tied the score, 41-41, the Wildcats got back-to-back layups from Luke Frampton and KiShawn Pritchett to push the margin back to four.
• UMass responded with a 10-4 spurt to retake the lead before a pair of Gudmundsson free throws evened the score again, 51-51, with 1:20 remaining.
• The Minutemen finished with a 36-27 advantage on the glass, including 13 offensive rebounds that led to outscoring the Wildcats 10-0 in second-chance points.
• Davidson continued its strong play on the defensive end holding UMass to just 38.5 percent shooting.
• After the 'Cats used a 15-4 spurt highlighted by a pair of Carter Collins' 3-pointers to go up 20-13, UMass closed the half on a run of its own to carry a 27-25 lead into the break.
