DAVIDSON, N.C. —
Returning home for the first time since Nov. 20, Davidson will play host to Newberry College Thursday night at  7 p.m. in non-conference women's basketball action on the hardwood inside John M. Belk Arena.

The Wildcats (6-3), who are riding their second two-game winning streak of the season, just finished up a four-game road swing that had them playing at Virginia Tech, Duke, East Tennessee State and High Point. They went 2-2 on the trip and are seeking to remain perfect at home this year (2-0 currently).

Newberry comes into Thursday's game with a 4-3 record and won its latest contest, 69-42, at Mars Hill last Saturday, Nov. 30.

QUICK HITS ...
•Davidson is in its 41st season and has collected 451 wins in program history.
•The 'Cats are in their sixth year in the Atlantic 10 after a 21-year run in the SoCon.
Sarah Donovan (1st) and Katie Turner (2nd) were named to the league's all-preseason teams.
•Davidson was picked fifth in the A-10 preseason poll after a tie for fourth place last year.

LAST TIME OUT AT HIGH POINT, DEC 2 ...
•Davidson closed out a busy four-game road swing in a nine-day span with a 73-63 victory at High Point Monday night inside the Millis Center. The Wildcats ended their road swing with a 2-2 mark.
•Leading the charge on the night was the post duo of freshman Adelaide Fuller, who scored a season-high 19 points on 9-of-14 shooting, and junior Sarah Donovan, who registered her third double-double of the season with 12 points and a new career-high 20 rebounds.
•Freshman Suzi-Rose Deegan also helped out, scoring a game-high tying 20 points with 12 of those coming in the second half.
•Davidson led by as many as 25 points (58-33) in the third quarter before HPU used a 13-2 run, including a 10-0 stretch, that spanned at the end of the third and into the fourth quarter to cut the lead down to 60-46.  
•The Wildcats got a combined 11 final points from Fuller, Donovan and Deegan to seal up the win.

ALL-TIME WATCH LIST ...
•The duo of Katie Turner and Sarah Donovan continue to climb up in the Wildcats' all-time records, with Turner closing in on 1,000 career points (835) while sitting in sixth in threes (157) and 12th in assists (280). Donovan just crossed the 500-rebound mark (511) and is 33 away from reaching 15th all-time, while her 7.7 per game average is good for seventh.
Ally Welling is 11th in career blocks with 71 and is seven away from moving up to 10th.

A-10 RANKINGS ...
•Through nine games, the Wildcats rank first in field goals made (239) and field goal percentage (.430), three-point shooting (.365), total rebounds (360) and assists (138), while coming in second in total three-pointers (69) and third in assists per game (15.33).
•Individually, Sarah Donovan leads the league in rebounding (83/9.2 rpg), while she and Suzi-Rose Deegan (6th in scoring, 13.7 ppg) are second and third, respectively, in total field goals (45) and percentage (.474/.469). Katie Turner is tops in made threes (24) and fourth in percentage (.414), while she (1st, 34) and Cassidy Gould (4th, 30) are in the top-five in total assists.

RANDOM NOTES ...
•Davidson is coming off playing four games, all on the road, spanning nine days.
•The Wildcats' 5-3 record in November was it best since going 5-2 during the 2006-07 season.
•Three 'Cats are scoring in double figures- Suzi-Rose Deegan (13.7 ppg), Sarah Donovan (13.0/9.2 rpg) and Katie Turner (11.4), while the team overall is averaging 72.2 points per game.
•Donovan has averages of 16.3 points and 10.8 rebounds in the past four games, with a pair of 20-point outings, including a career-high 25 points at Virginia Tech, and a career-best 20 rebounds at High Point.
•The last 20-rebound effort came from Sophia Aleksandravicius at Appalachian State, Jan. 15, 2012.
•Donovan has 17 double-doubles for her career, three of which have come this season.
•Davidson has shot over 43 percent in five of nine games this year, with a season-high .537 vs. Western.

•Keli Romas had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
•Romas leads the Wolves in scoring (14.0 ppg), rebounding (7.1 rpg) and field goal percentage (.457) and assists (24).
•Newberry is averaging 68.1 points per game through the first seven contests.
•Newberry was picked to finish eighth in the 2019-20 South Atlantic Conference preseason poll, while Kelsey McDermott was named to the preseason all-conference second team.
•The Wolves went 16-12 a year ago and 10-10 in league play.
•Besides Davidson, Newberry is also playing Division I schools Elon and Furman later in the year.

ALL-TIME SERIES ...
•This is the fourth career meeting between both school's women's basketball programs, with Davidson leading 2-1 in the series.
