KINGSTON, R.I. — The Davidson volleyball team opened its four-match road swing Friday night with a 3-0 loss at Rhode Island in Atlantic 10 play.

The Rams won 25-17, 25-17 and 25-15, dropping the Wildcats to 10-14 overall and 5-6 in the Atlantic 10.
Rhode Island hit .433 and held Davidson to .109.

Hattie Rodriguez and Annalyse Kitzberger led the way for the Wildcats with 10 and eight kills, respectively. Sydney Champaigne had a team-high 24 assists, while Josie Treadwell had a team-best eight digs.

It's a quick turnaround for the Wildcats, who will face Fordham Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in The Bronx, N.Y.
