DAVIDSON, N.C. —
The Davidson women's basketball team heads to Cameron Indoor Stadium Wednesday night for its second straight matchup against an ACC opponent, taking on Duke at 7 p.m.

The Wildcats (4-2) are in the midst of playing seven of their first nine games on the road as well as in a stretch of playing four straight on the road in a nine-day span. They already faced Virginia Tech last Sunday and will now take on a Blue Devil team that is 4-2 on the season as part of their four-game road trip.

QUICK HITS ...
•Davidson is in its 41st season and has collected 451 wins in program history.
•The 'Cats are in their sixth year in the Atlantic 10 after a 21-year run in the SoCon.
Sarah Donovan (1st) and Katie Turner (2nd) were named to the league's all-preseason teams.
•Davidson was picked fifth in the A-10 preseason poll after a tie for fourth place last year.
•10 letterwinners return and four starters from a year ago, while four freshmen were added.

LAST TIME OUT AT VIRGINIA TECH, NOV. 24 ...
•Virginia Tech shot 65.5 percent in the first half to open up an 18-point lead and Davidson was forced to play catchup the rest of the way, falling 88-68 last Sunday.
•The Hokies hit 19-of-29 shots in the first half, and used a 25-9 run that spanned the first and second quarters to take command of the game.
•Davidson was able to get within nine (38-29) midway through the second quarter on a 10-2 run, but Tech answered with eight straight points and a 16-8 run overall to close the first half up 54-37.
Sarah Donovan had a strong game, tallying her second double-double of the season. She finished with a career-high 25 points and added 11 rebounds, while going to the free-throw line a career-best 15 times and swished home a career-best nine of the attempts.
•Davidson did go to the line a season-best 34 times (21-for-34) and had a 45-43 edge on the glass, with a season-high 20 of those rebounds on offense.

A-10 NOTES ...
•Through the first six games, the Wildcats rank first in field goal percentage (.439), second in scoring (75.0) and three-point percentage (.387) and third in assists per game (15.7).
Suzi-Rose Deegan is eighth in the league in scoring (14.2) and second in field goal percentage (.492), while Sarah Donovan is third in rebounding (8.5).
Katie Turner is sixth in made threes (15) and three-point percentage (.385).

RANDOM NOTES ...
•Seven of the last nine years, Davidson has faced at least two ACC opponents in a season, taking on North Carolina, Clemson, Wake Forest, N.C. State, Miami and Virginia during that stretch.
•The 'Cats are off to a 4-2 start for the second time in the past three years under head coach Gayle Fulks.
•Three Wildcats are scoring in double figures- Deegan (14.2 ppg), Turner (12.3) and Donovan (12.8 / 8.5 rpg).
•Davidson has shot over 40 percent in five of six games this year, with a season-high .537 vs. Western.
•The Wildcats set a single-game school record for three-pointers (14) vs. Western Carolina, Nov. 20.
•Davidson's 101 points in the win vs. Western were the most since 103 vs. ETSU, Jan. 22, 2002.
•Deegan claimed Davidson's first A-10 weekly award by being named the league's Rookie of the Week, Nov. 18, after averaging 19.5 points and six rebounds per game.

Cassidy Gould's 10 assists at Drexel were the most since Chloe Johnson had that many vs. Rhode Island, Feb. 11, 2017. Prior to that, the last time came back on Dec. 29, 2010 by Barbara Sitton (11 vs. Princeton).
Sarah Donovan has 16 double-doubles for her career, two of which have come this season.
•Davidson has already put at least three players in doubles digits in four of the first six games this year. It did it 27 of the 32 games last year.

SCOUTING THE BLUE DEVILS ...
•Duke won its second straight with a 99-85 win vs. Troy last Sunday.
•Haley Gorecki collected her 11th career double-double with 23 points and a season-high 13 rebounds, while Miela Goodchild scored 23 of her 26 points in the second stanza to pace the Blue Devils.
•Gorecki was named ACC Co-Player of the Week Monday after averaging 26.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocked shots in Dukes' wins against Troy and Idaho State.
•Gorecki, who was a Preseason All-ACC pick, was named to the Wooden Award and Naismith Trophy watch lists earlier this season.
•Duke has three double-digit scorers in Gorecki (18.2 ppg / 7.0 rpg), Leaonna Odom (13.5) and Goodchild (12.3)
•The Blue Devils are 3-1 at home so far this year.
•They have gone to the line 152 times already this year (111-152), compared to their opponents' 62 trips to the charity stripe.
•Duke is coming off a 15-15 season a year ago with a 6-10 mark in the ACC.
•It returns all five starters and nine letterwinners total from last year's squad.

ALL-TIME SERIES ...
•This is the fifth career meeting between both school's women's basketball programs.
•Duke owns a 3-1 advantage in the series and has won the past three meetings.
•Both teams have not met since Nov. 12, 2004 when the Blue Devils took a 89-69 decision in the Preseason WNIT. It was Davidson's first game of the season that campaign (2004-05).
