KINGSTON, R.I. – Shortly after Davidson went a man down due to a red card, league-leading Rhode Island took advantage and broke a scoreless tie with goals in the 81st and 90th minutes to get by the Wildcats, 2-0, in Atlantic 10 men's soccer action Saturday night.
The eventual game-winner came from Zach Drayer off a service from the right side into the box by Sondre Karterud.
With just 16 ticks remaining, the Rams (11-3-2, 7-1-0) added an insurance goal off the foot of Simon Trcka.
Jaylen Thompson, Jamie DiLuzio and Jackson Bracy each finished with a shot on goal for Davidson (3-10-2, 2-5-0), while Saywer Gaffney stopped a season-high 8 shots.

Davidson will enjoy a week break from action before hosting Duquesne in a "Senior Night" matchup Saturday, November 2 at Alumni Stadium.
