Peters Claims Javelin at Gamecock Invitational

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Carly Peters won the javelin to lead women's track and filed at the Gamecock Invitational Saturday at Kregger Track.
Peters marked a throw of 44.33-meters (145'5) to win the event.
Katie Macturk placed third in the 1500-meters with a time of 4:39.10. Junior Claire Nieusma was sixth in the 800m with a time of 2:16.29.
Hannah Malkofsky-Berger placed fourth in the vault, clearing 3.00m (9'10), while junior Tori Long stopped the clock in the 400m in 58.77 and Katie Hines in 59.25 seconds.
Davidson makes the quick trip south to the Charlotte Invitational, Saturday, Apr. 14 at the Irwin Belk Track & Field Center.
