Women's T&F Wraps Up Charlotte Invitational

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Davidson women's track and field team wrapped up the final day of the Charlotte Invitational Saturday at Irwin Belk Track.
Wildcat junior Tori Long set a new personal best mark in the 400-meters, stopping the clock in 58.14 seconds, just behind former teammate, Hannah Rieden '17 (58.08). Freshman Grace Loehr also broke a minute, clocking in at 59.99 seconds. Wildcat sophomore Katie Hines also set a new PR in the 200m, racing the half lap around the track in 25.47 seconds.
Sophomore Katie Macturk placed second in the 800m with a time of 2:17.51, while freshman Audrey Grammel finished eighth overall (2:22.65). Senior Allison Cheeseman took sixth in the 1500m with a time of 5:04.08.
The women's 4x100m relay team took sixth overall. The squad of Katie Hines, Grace Loehr, Saidah Rahman and Jennifer Thompson ran the baton around the track in 48.90 seconds, a top five time for Davidson all-time.
Davidson returns Friday, Apr. 20 for the first day of the Duke Invitational.
