
Men's Track and Field Head to Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championship

FAIRFAX, Va. –The Davidson men's track and field team looks to put their stamp on the conference when they compete at the 2018 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championship Saturday and Sunday, May 5-6, at George Mason Stadium.Â

Outdoor Feats... To Date
Since heading outdoors in February, Davidson has registered five new school records. Freshman Miles Hollimon snapped the 100-meter record (10.80 seconds), while junior Jacob Hostetler took down the 200m mark (21.33). Classmate Sean Caveney was the first collegian to cross the line at the Duke Invitational when he broke the 400m hurdle record, stopping the clock in 52.25 seconds. The 'Cats have also had success racing the baton around the track, resetting the 4x100m (42.07) and 4x400m relay records (3:15.07). Junior Dylan Carmack is also hitting his stride late in the season, shattering his personal best time in the 5k at the Duke Invite with a time of 14:10.65.
2018 A-10 Indoor Championship Breakdown
The Wildcats placed ninth overall, tallying 44 points at Mackal Fieldhouse in Kingston, R.I. Host University of Rhode Island won the team title by a wide margin, recording 204 points. Davidson junior Brady Logan earned his first conference indoor crown and second ever, marking a meet-best shot throw of 16.52m to put him atop the podium. Classmate Dylan Carmack took third in both the 3k and 5k, while fellow junior Sean Caveney was fifth in the 60m hurdles. In the sprints, rookies Miles Hollimon and Nick Peeples both scored in the 200m dash, taking third and seventh, respectively.

Junior Brady Logan enters the meet as the defending champion in the shot put. The Woodberry Forest, Va., native set a new program record (16.33m) last year at Massachusetts to win his first of two A-10 titles. Logan won the indoor shot this past February, marking a throw of 16.52m to win his second conference crown overall.
