CHARLOTTE, N.C. –
The Davidson women's track and field team finished up the final day of the Charlotte 49er Classic Saturday at Irwin Belk Track and Field Center.

Sophomore Katie Hines posted the fastest 200m time of her young career, but was aided by a tailwind. The Anchorage, Alaska, native stopped the clock in 25.57 seconds. Junior Tori Long also set a new personal best time in the event (25.81).

Sophomore Carly Peters placed third in javelin with a mark of 44.08m (144'7). Peters has had success at the 49er Classic in her first two years as she launched the current school record (45.91m) in Charlotte last March in her first collegiate meet.

Junior Sophia Mills finished 11th in the 800m with a time of 2:15.29. Maddie Hunter, in her first track season, stopped the clock in 2:18.39.

Davidson returns to the track Saturday, March 24 at the Wake Forest Opener.
