DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Davidson, the 2018 Atlantic 10 Champions, has received an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament as the Wildcats will be the South Region's 12th seed and take on fifth-seeded Kentucky Thursday in Boise, Idaho.
The winner of Davidson's first-round matchup will advance to face the victor of the game between fourth-seeded Arizona and 13th-seeded Buffalo.
Making their 14th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and ninth under head coach Bob McKillop, the 'Cats have won eight of their last nine and enter their contest with Kentucky 21-11 overall.
Davidson is 8-14 all-time in the NCAA Tournament with its last appearance, a setback to Iowa in 2015.
